OYA Council meeting results

Sunday ten of us got together for the second OYA Council meeting. It proved to be very productive. We agreed on a logo that is in the polishing stages now. We brainstormed about a mission statement and formed a committee that will put all our thoughts together. Next we brainstormed about projects we would like to see happen now, in the near future and someday. We have many great ideas so be looking for some exciting things to be happening. We didn’t get everything accomplished so we will be meeting again Friday, Sept. 9. Place and time to be announced. This meeting we will be forming a lot of committees so if you think you’d like to help in a short-term way, it would be a great chance for you to see all the options and offer your help.

Council Meeting Time Change

The details of the council meeting has been changed. The meeting is now on Sunday at 2:30, meeting at Joy of All Who Sorrow. I'm sorry for any problems this may cause. Nezhla's Campout!

Contrary to a rumer which was circulating recently, Nezhla in indeed coming home as planned, and the campout is on! It will begin at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 13th, and continue until after church on Sunday, August 14th. Please bring food (meat will be provided), a sleeping bag and camping pad, and e-mail Nezhla to let her know you're coming (nezhla85@yahoo.com). The Denman's farm is a wonderful, refreshing place to be, and I'm sure we'll have a lively time. It's a great opportunity to get to know the members of the Nashville mission parish as well, since we will be joining them for church. Here's the address: 2684 S. Whitehorse Rd., Nashville, IN 47448. Purdue OCF Cookout!

August 28th, the OCF at Purdue will be having a cookout to kick off the school year! It will take place at the OCF House in West Lafayette. RSVP to John Miller at 765-746-0530 by August 21st for directions and details. Should be a great ending to a great summer! :)
