June 19th

June 19th is a very big day! Not only is it Pentecost, but it is also the day Kelly will be chrismated! (Alleluia!) :D So, here's the scoop on it:

Where: Joy of All Who Sorrow in Indy (1516 N Delaware Ave. zip-46202)

When: Sunday, June 19th, starting at 8 AM (try to come early for good spots!)

What: Kelly's chrismation -> Divine Liturgy -> brunch/fellowship* -> Pentecost Picnic at 2 PM**
*After the brunch, those who are interested in planning the high school retreat this fall will be having a short meeting to get organized. If you are interested, be thinking about your schedule and any ideas you have. Those not interested can hang around the church or something... plans can be made at that time.

**The picnic will be at one of the parishioner's home. If you can, please bring a side dish to help with the food. Also, bring some play clothes and shoes because there will be games available!! (yay!:) Also, don't forget sunscreen and/or bug spray as it will be outside.

This would be a great event to bring a friend - someone who is interested in the church or that you want to introduce to the church for the first time. Chrismations are moving and beautiful and there will be many of us there so the fellowship will be abundant. I encourage everyone to make an effort to attend!!

Take care, keep praying for everyone and God bless! :)

Hi guys...I'm so happy that many of you are coming to the chrismation, and we look forward to seeing you again, God willing. I have a bit of depressing news for such a cheering post, and I don't know how to post a regular message, so I will post a prayer request as a comment. I ask all of your prayers for the peaceful repose of my grandfather, Edward Bell, who passed away late last night/early this morning down in Florida. As far as I know, he was not a believer, and I pray that our heavenly Father in His mercy will grant him peace and comfort and forgiveness, and comfort to his family left behind, especially for his young son.
I humbly ask all of your prayers for Edward and for all of us. God bless you.
